Before your first concussion visit
Prior to booking your initial concussion consultation you are required to have a referral stating that you have a diagnosis of a concussion, obtained via any medical practitioner (doctor) of your choosing. A referral can be brought to your initial appointment, or emailed to admin@ballaratconcussion.com.au. You do not require a referral if your concussion occurred more than four weeks ago.
For headache and migraine appointments a referral is not always required. See the headache & migraine service for details.
We are privately billed and can process private health insurance claims for physiotherapy.

Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, an assessment will be conducted, using a range of tools and techniques to accurately plan and individualise your rehabilitation.
Follow-up Consultation
Tailored treatment plans, including graded exercise, cognitive exercises, vestibular and ocular re-training, manual therapy and lifestyle adjustments to support recovery.
Baseline Testing
Pre-season baseline testing to monitor pre-injury cognitive function, coordination and balance to compare and guide post-concussion care.
